Ram 2500 Power Wagon and Rebel Get Lunar Edition Models, They're Making a Special Comeback (2026)

Get ready for a celestial-themed revival! Ram Trucks is bringing back the Lunar Edition models of the Ram 2500 Power Wagon and Rebel, and it's an exciting announcement for truck enthusiasts. But here's where it gets controversial... These special editions are making a comeback just in time for the last total lunar eclipse visible from North America until 2028! So, is this a reason to celebrate or a missed opportunity? Let's dive in and explore the details of this unique offering.

In March 2026, as winter bid farewell, Ram Trucks announced a special return. The Lunar Editions, previously available for the Ram 1500 TRX and Ram 2500 series, are back with a bang. Tim Kuniskis, Head of American Brands, SRT Performance, NA Marketing, and Retail Strategy, stated, 'The new Ram 2500 Lunar Edition trucks give customers added value while making a statement.' But is this statement enough to justify the price tag?

Both models will be available for order later this month, and they come with a unique dual-tone exterior. The Ceramic Grey Clear-Coat exterior is paired with a Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat lower body, creating a striking monochromatic look. The grille surround, color-matched to the exterior, replaces the standard Satin Black trim, adding a touch of refinement. But is this enough to make these trucks stand out from the crowd?

The Lunar Edition models feature bodyside graphics and black-painted wheels, while the Power Wagon gets special 17-inch alloy wheels, and the Rebel rocks 20-inch rims. The interiors are equally impressive, with premium full-grain Natura Plus black leather bucket seats embossed with the Power Wagon or Rebel logos. However, this attention to detail might not be enough to justify the high price point.

The Lunar Edition package starts on top of the Level 2 Equipment Group, making these trucks well-equipped. It includes a brand-new Copperhead Orange contrast stitching, a unique alloy center console badge, and an integrated heavy-duty lockable console safe from Mopar. But at a price of $1,995 for the package, and $86,385 and $93,885 for the Ram 2500 Power Wagon and 2500 Rebel, respectively, is it worth the investment?

Despite the high price, Ram trucks are backed by America's best full-size truck and van limited powertrain warranty of 10 years/100,000 miles. So, while the Lunar Editions might not be cheap, they do come with peace of mind. But what do you think? Is this a reason to celebrate or a missed opportunity?
